22/05/2018 - INTERRUPTION TO SUPPLY: PALM TREE CREEK - PIPELINE.
07:00 Monday 4/06/2018 to Sunday 10/06/2018

Please take note that from 7:00 am Monday 4th June to 5:00 pm Sunday 10th June 2018 there will be an interruption to supply of the Palm Tree Creek - Pipeline irrigation area to allow SunWater to undertake a comprehensive internal inspection and condition assessment of their Palm Tree Creek Main pipeline.

The works require that the Palm Tree Creek - Pipeline Irrigation Area be shut down for period of up to 7 days. Pioneer Valley Water irrigators in the Palm Tree Creek - Pipeline irrigation area will be unable to access water during this period.

We request that irrigators do not attempt to take water during this shutdown period, as it may extend the time taken to get systems back up and running post shutdown.

SunWater advise that the timing of this inspection (outside of the wet season) is to enable external inspection of any internal pipe irregularities discovered, and to assist with location and excavation of potential leakage sites on the Main between Saddle Dam 2 and the Palm Tree Creek Outlet.

SunWater will also take advantage of the shutdown to replace damaged seals on the guard valves on the Palm Tree Creek & Tannalo Outlets.

Please call our office if you have any questions. Updates to this information will be posted here as information becomes available.

announced allocation

The "announced allocation" percentage is the maximum volume of water that may be taken in a Water Year (expressed as a percentage of nominal allocation), other than during a stream flow period. The total volume of water taken in a water year (under the announced allocation and stream flow periods combined) must not exceed the nominal volume for the water allocation.

Following, are allocation percentages announced for the current Water Year(s) under the Pioneer Valley Resource Operations Plan (ROP). The details applying to water distributed under PVWater's Distribution Operations Licence (DOL) are highlighted in red.

stream flow periods

If the current announced allocation is less than 100% and natural flow in Cattle Creek or in the Pioneer River exceeds predetermined flow rates a "stream flow period" is declared. During a declared stream flow period, allocation holders may take water over and above the announced allocation percentage provided that the total volume of water taken in a water year does not exceed the nominal volume for the water allocation.
